Ethics, Ownership & Funding

Last updated: 29 May 2026

Transparency about who owns us, how we are funded, and what ethical principles guide our work is essential to earning your trust. This page lays it all out.

1. Ownership

JoeyMoney.com is wholly owned and operated by an individual proprietor:

OwnerPitam Ghosh

JoeyMoney.com is not affiliated with, owned by, or funded by any political party, brokerage, fund house, listed company, or media conglomerate.

2. Funding Sources

JoeyMoney.com sustains operations through:

  • Display advertising — programmatic ads served by Google AdSense and similar networks.
  • Affiliate links (if and when used) — clearly disclosed within articles.
  • Sponsored content (if and when accepted) — clearly labelled “Sponsored” and editorially separated from news.

We do not accept payment to publish a news story, endorse a stock, suppress unfavourable coverage, or modify editorial content for any company or individual.

3. Editorial Independence

Advertisers and sponsors have no influence whatsoever over our editorial decisions, story selection, sourcing, or conclusions. The wall between editorial and commercial is absolute.

4. Conflicts of Interest

As an active market participant, Pitam Ghosh may at any time hold positions in Indian listed securities, mutual funds, or other instruments.

  • When an article specifically discusses a stock in which Pitam Ghosh holds a position, this is disclosed at the foot of the article.
  • Pitam Ghosh does not trade in a stock for at least 72 hours before or after publishing a substantial article on that stock, to avoid any appearance of front-running.
  • Insider information, when received, is never traded upon and is handled per applicable SEBI regulations.

5. Gifts, Junkets and Hospitality

We do not accept paid trips, gifts, gadgets, or hospitality from companies we cover. Where invitations to public events (press conferences, analyst meets) are accepted, attendance is for journalistic purposes only and does not entitle the host to favourable coverage.

6. Source Protection

We protect the identity of confidential news sources. We will not disclose source identities except where compelled by a court order, and even then we will resist disclosure to the extent permitted by law.

7. Respect for Subjects

Individuals and companies named in critical reporting are given a reasonable opportunity to comment before publication. Their response, when received, is incorporated into the article or appended to it.

8. Diversity and Non-Discrimination

JoeyMoney.com does not discriminate on the basis of caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, region, or political affiliation — neither in our editorial coverage nor in our engagement with readers and sources.

9. Compliance

JoeyMoney.com operates in compliance with:

  • The Information Technology Act, 2000, and IT Rules, 2021.
  • The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
  • The Press Council of India norms of journalistic conduct (followed voluntarily).
  • Applicable provisions of the Copyright Act, 1957.

10. Reporting Ethical Concerns

If you believe we have breached these principles, please write to pitamghosh1998@gmail.com with details. Every complaint receives a written response.
