Editorial Policy

Last updated: 29 May 2026

JoeyMoney.com is committed to publishing accurate, independent, and well-sourced financial journalism. This Editorial Policy sets out the principles and processes we follow to maintain the trust of our readers.

1. Editorial Independence

Our editorial decisions are made independently. No advertiser, sponsor, business partner, or external party has any say in what we cover or how we cover it. Editorial content and commercial content (advertising) are kept strictly separate, and sponsored material — if ever published — will be clearly labelled “Sponsored” or “Promoted Content”.

2. Sourcing Standards

Every news article on JoeyMoney.com is based on at least one verifiable primary source. Our preferred sources, in order:

  1. Official exchange filings — NSE, BSE corporate announcements, disclosures under SEBI LODR Regulations.
  2. Regulatory releases — SEBI, RBI, IRDAI, PFRDA, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
  3. Company communications — official press releases, investor presentations, conference-call transcripts, annual reports.
  4. Reputable wire services and publications — Reuters, PTI, ANI, Bloomberg, Mint, Economic Times, Business Standard, MoneyControl (cited and linked).
  5. Verified expert commentary — only from named, qualified individuals.

We avoid anonymous-source reporting unless absolutely necessary and clearly flagged.

3. Fact-Checking Process

Before publication, every article passes a basic checklist:

  • Are all numerical figures (stock price, % change, market cap, financial ratios) cross-checked against the primary source?
  • Is every quoted person, company, and date verified?
  • Are speculative claims clearly labelled as opinion or analysis?
  • Are sources linked or cited in the article body?

4. Writing Standards

  • Plain, jargon-free English wherever possible. Where technical terms are unavoidable, we explain them.
  • Clear separation between news (factual reporting), analysis (interpretation based on facts), and opinion (personal viewpoint). Articles are labelled accordingly.
  • Headlines accurately represent the story — no clickbait.
  • Author bylines and “Last updated” timestamps on every article.

5. Use of AI

JoeyMoney.com may use AI tools to assist with research, drafting, grammar checks, and summarization. However, every published article is reviewed, edited, and signed off by a human editor. We do not publish fully AI-generated content as original reporting. Where AI has materially contributed to a piece (e.g., data summarization), we disclose it.

6. Conflicts of Interest

The founder-editor may hold personal positions in Indian listed equities and mutual funds. When writing about a specific stock in which a holding exists, this is disclosed at the foot of the article. We never publish articles intended to move a stock for personal benefit.

7. Plagiarism

JoeyMoney.com has zero tolerance for plagiarism. All facts sourced from other publications are cited and linked. Quotations are reproduced verbatim and attributed. Any verified plagiarism leads to immediate retraction and a public correction.

8. Right of Reply

Any company, individual, or institution named in our reporting has the right to respond. Reasonable response requests will be appended to the original article or published as a follow-up.

9. Corrections, Updates and Retractions

See our full Corrections Policy. In brief: factual errors are corrected promptly, transparently, and visibly.

10. Reader Comments

We welcome thoughtful reader engagement. Comments containing abuse, spam, defamatory language, hate speech, or unsolicited promotional content are removed. Repeated violations may result in a ban.
